e39 525 m-sport

i was at one dealer's place to look at one 525 japan cbu2000 m-sport package. this steering is w/o multi-function. seats are so newas in attached pix. mileage claim 30k. body all round is faultless - even underside. mileage tampering is so common for japan cbu? and do they go through the trouble of putting in new seats to pass off low mileage claim. do you think price 185k is reasonable.

u cud check the ori mileage by hooking it to MODIC.....

check the seat belt buckle ....there shud be y.o. manufactured stamped there...actually, u cud find y.o.m stamps on a lot of parts, try the coin box, windscreen etc.

or the shortcut, get the VIN no......some forummers here can check the car real ID for you

can do anythings with the Navigation/TV? For 185K it is definitely over price. considering it is only a 525i. it could well be at M52 engine rather than the new M54. The naming in Japan is very screwup for some reasons.

without the kits, it is less than 165K. The steering has no features at all and no air bag too?

If you are comptemplating units from old klang road and Cheras (leisure mall), you need to take your time.

ahyai...... it is a M52TU engine not a M54. nice kits but at 170hp a bit underpower. Wear a 525i badge but actually it is a late 523i.

The 'real' options I see are the sunroof, TV monitor and sports rim for the different. If it is a M Sport model, it should have M5 bodykit as well. Check the trunk to see if it has a GPS DVD system. If you think RM23K justify for these options, then the price might be right. You'll need to verify the mileage though.

No the RM163K is not M-sport either but has all the other options. I didn't go for it because it has 93k km mileage on it. The car is at the showroom along Jalan Pudu next to the Caltext station.

If you are keen to see a real M-sport version, go to Keong Heng along Jalan Cheras. I checked out the car 3 weeks ago but they are asking for RM190K. The dealer yard is between Wegro Honda Service Center and a Food Court. This is where the old Cheras toll used to be. Location is directly across from the entrance to Taman Midah.

Yes, I did. It is a blue colour year 2000 E39 525i comes with M5 bodykit and M Sport rim. Mileage was 30K+ km
