Its not a normal screw...

Check realoem for parts description but cannot see any related parts as we said.

BVM Auto also said they don't know what parts is around there so they can't make a sharp decision too.

Oh...
Is it really for the parking brake pedal?

Yes. Bomin Auto claimed that the screw at the back was lost. They can't find any to put it back & install the absorber too.

Actually it is not a screw but a bolt joint type..
Once spoil or come off need to replace the hold unit..
May be bring along the damage parts to chop shop who knows can find 1 huhu...

the thing that is missing is most likely like this...that metal thingy inside.most likely yours is broken.gotta buy the whole damper.
e39 uses hand park brake .the e38 uses pedal park brake.

search realoem or bmwfans for the part number

part number 35 51 1 165 574 - absorber

Pats able to view through realoem.

But i'm finding what is missing at the back of the absorber.

Is either a ball nut or any others things which support for it.

Does this part have a nut to hold the absorber?

bro koh.....it looks like the stud that is on the car has broken.it is the piece that the absorber hooks on to.

Have consulted BVM Auto. They dunno which is the actual part to hold the absorber too.

I turn the absorber here & there. Can't really find the exact answer for the absorber.

If i would like to put back the absorber. Means i have to change the whole damper with the ball point screw?
