I met up with some friends (E36(2),E46(2),E60(1) owners) on Sunday and we drove from Tg Bungah to Teluk Bahang Dam. I tried out a friend's "new" E36 325 which I think had Bilstein B8+ Eibach Springs. That got me thinking about a "suspension upgrade". So guys could you be kind enough to share your E36 suspension experiences. I have a choice b/w Bilstein B8+ Eibach Pro Kit vs Bilstein B12 Kit ( which consists of Bilstein B8+ H&R Springs). You feedback would not only assist me but also be useful to the forumers here. Thanks.

Im looking at the B8 too for an upgrade, within my budget... Using SPAX lowered springs at the moment on stock shocks...

can i know which is more for comfortable ? Bilstein B8+ Eibach Pro Kit or Bilstein B8+ H&R

i shud have get Bilstein B8 instead when decide to change my "kaput" abs all around last month, but my head got straight up to go and buy original Boge. A tremendous comfort I would say after change but very 'sway' feeling on high speed highway.

mine is combo of stock Boge + Eibach spring, just three words....comfort but sway.

I'm on B8 + Eibach prokit. Comfort... I dare say similar to stock. Less play though when oscillating, meaning stiffer damping. Overall it looks meaner and attacks corners more poised, making me feel confident to go round the bends faster too. Maybe handling wise it could be improved with stiffer springs (some say H&R springs but I think better to go for coilovers) but ride comfort may be compromised. So this is, in my view, best combination for me.

E36: Suspension Upgrade

For me,i have always prefer Bilstein Suspension Kit since my E30 days. The ride is Firm, meaning to say it bounces once n stop unlike others,Kxxx which bounces 2 or 3 tiimes.I have a set Of B8 n Sach Coilover which i havent tested yet. Will update once i test it out.Suspension wise,u cant have both...comfort n handling,u got to sacrifice 1,if u chose handling,u would be driving aggressively n tackling corners....do u have time to think about Comfort

Thanks.

I was notso impress on friend's 325. It's parked in Bdr Sunway. Not comfortable for long trips. But if you like rough cornering, go for the Pro.
