Hai guys, need some help here.. My e36 (325i yr 95) always tend to steer to the left. I have done my alignment 3 times but still the problem persist. After the alignment job, the straightness is okay for 1 day only, then the steering will feel heavier and tend to steer more to the left. My alignment shop is quite competent actually, and he suspected that the front camber is out. Since e36 front camber cannot be adjusted, so he suggest me to find worksyop that can 'straighten' the car. I understand what he meant, but cant really figure out which body part of the e36 that needs 'adjustment'. Anybody has experience this before? How to solve it and any worksyop that could fix my car? Thanks in advance for the input guys..

bro , .
this had been discussed in another thread . it's an inherent design . just try to
live with it .

dont think so as mine is just fine...

Not steer to the left .....

just send for checking ......

pls check ur rim n tires as well......

This is a castor problem.

What you can do is to increase your left castor but installing an offset M3 upper arm bush (wheel will move forward an inch or so). It will certainly help. Well it solved mine.

Cheers :)

have a look at your front suspension top mount. its not uncommon and its easily damaged especially with all the f*&!#% potholes on our roads. the rubber might be cracked and the bearings might be damaged. normally a good mount will allowed it to spin freely, if its damaged, it may jammed up while you are driving and prevent the wheel from freely rotating back to a straight line causing it to pull to a side.

thanks guy,
i am sending my car for last attempt checking at jb worksyop (bmw speacialist at permas jaya).
to drive a bmw with heavy steering to one side is definitely not the 'ultimate driving pleasure !' right ?

Okay - sent to the said worksyop..
Findings :-

- malu to say BUT it is mostly because of my TIRE !!!
- the worksyop tried swapping all the tires, once the correct rim/tire positioning, a full alignment was done

=> 90% improvement imediately. So now, kena find new tire !
