e36 engine oil leaks !!!!!

Sifuz im have a new headache bout my ride 318 having this engine oil leaks....when to mech...first place spotted was my valve cover gasket gone...so thrz sm oil leakages over thr...nw thr is still minor drops bt dunno whr izit from...nt frm the valve cover anymore...do you guys have any ideas whr does comman place tht it might leaks? thk youuu
 
Common area will be engine oil pan..... Flying oil seal and power steering rack.....

Dun worry too much as e36 cost to do oil leak repair is low as parts is getting cheaper by day

Yes, not that costly to fix nowadays. It was actually not that costly 6 years ago either.

It happen on my E46 before, change few hoses which was unnecessary change but at the end notice item 6 from the dia was the damage : http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E.../browse/engine/lubrication_system_oil_filter/

For your E36 maybe u can try check on item 6 from dia : http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E.../browse/engine/lubrication_system_oil_filter/

yeah bro...hope so...actually wanna bring to d mech bt he was on leave so...2morro ni lo....btw...d leak is lyk few drops after some drive....hmmmm
 
Sorry but I laughed when I saw what jackie wrote..."flying oil seal". Not trying to be mean so don't take it the wrong way but that cracked me up. ^_^V

Sorry it flywheel oil seal..... typo error....haha

Dun get too serious.... take it as a joke of the day....
 
rectified the problem today.Itz some whr under neat d engine bay which wat d mech told me...thy have to raise up d engine to change those gasket....any ideas watz d name of d part? izit d oil pan? as i research M3 have more less the same problem where the engine has to be raised and suspended, while the suspension crossmember unbolted and lowered
