E36 Cluster removal

my mileage speed bulb area is blown. wanting to change it.i've managed to remove the torx screws out of there and wiggle the cluster out. but i can't figure out how to remove the 3 cables behind there..any ideas?pull it? grip it?cheers

If i m not mistaken there are a release lever which u need to push real hard in order to pull it.. you can't pull it like tht otherwise it screws up..all kind of cables in BMs are using the same standard..you have to push the lever real hard in order to pull it..just fr my experience..
