Guys,For the longest time I've been having the break light failure signal showing. Everytime mechanic will adjust the bulb, ok for a while then it comes back on again! Recently mechanic told me the contact point for the bulb on the rear light box was the problem. Only way is to change the whole light box. Is there any way this can be fix? Cheers!

my mech adjust the socket and change the bulb, test few new unit until found the one with tight fit. no error since then. it hv been few months now.

just add some solder on the bulb aluminium contact point and it will work like a charm ...

yup.. another good idea... this is exactly what my mech search... a bigger aluminum contact...

i bet he know's what he's doing ...or else take the bulb out and take it to an electrical shop and ask them to add some solder on the bulb aluminium contact point ...

not to forget pls also try to lift up the copper contact point ( where ya bulb sits ) or give it a little sand paper rub .. the copper contact can at time oxidize too hence making it weak to light up the bulb

thx iceman..never thought of that..
my car always show "brake light failure" but in actual fact it is okay..
since it is inherent problem, i just dont bother anymore..but will try to get my mech to do lar!
