E36 318 auto to manual conversion

hi all....just like to ask you all... is it hard to convert auto E36 318 (M40) from auto to manual?roughly how much will it cost, and is it hard to find that manual gearbox?thanks in advance.

RM4-5k, maybe cheaper depending on how much you get the gearbox for. Cost will be higher if you can't find 2nd hand shifter, clutch pump, pedals, hoses, long shaft etc.

Installation wise it should be a 1-3 day job depending on how familiar your mechanic is with the whole process.

i am from Penang..
yeah.. from the last call.. venom said he will be leaving to UK at 15th this month..
so now he should be there already....

yeah... e36 will be ride of my life...


btw, is the bearbox same for M40 and M42
how to differentiate them.... sorry i am newbie.
