E34 stock radio is K.O.

Dear E34-ers,Have a radio which had a habit of turning on on its own for the past year, and normally turns on during the ride. Not when I push the 'on' button. I thought its quite cool to have a 'ghost' radio which likes to play music when it felt like. But past 1 month, no matter how much I punch the radio, or long drives, it seems to have died. Thinking seriously of replacing with a good radio with USB/Ipod interface, any suggestions for the brand which could replace the stock standard radio with plug/play capability? Thanks in advance!

depends on whether you're particular with cosmetics and want something that sort of matches in terms of illumination, colour and texture of surround/panel, knob and button style, etc. if not, any of the more reputable brands with functionality you require should be fine.
