Fellow forumners,just 1 2 share .....2 days ago changed both front upper arms n lower arms and s/absorbers.total cost rm1.5k - parts n labour........ok?p/s: my ride 520i auto mod to 535i manual n lowered.

bro, not sure about other parts, just the absorber i bought $SGD90 each. Boge OE (520i 12valve).


May I ask you what is your shock/spring combo? can show me the photo of your ride?
And how is the consumption of your converted 535i manual compared to you previous Auto 520i?

after translate your fc yours seem to be (25-20 L/100km) city and (14-12.5 L/100km) highway

is that true?!?!?!

i thought official claim (17 to 14 L/100 km) city and (12- 10L/100 km) highway

still thinking of converting mine to M30 if there is not much difference compared to my sluggish M20B20....

yes, unker AAM is right on the FC.. where got so low wan.. mine is 12.6 to 14.8 on average..

I can accept the fc if it average at 18mpg (13L/100km), because I got approximately 23mpg (10.23L/100km) on highway with my M20B20 manual, city drive not sure(bad odometer) but i know it really sucks(seeing the gauge dipping when i floor the throttle)

morpheus, I dont have the breakdown of the figures.....the mod was done by the last ( the only ) owner.

cost him about rm12k for the whole project - engine, gearbox n rear dif,shocks n springs and labour.

M30 conversion so expensive one meh?!!?! I still thought if M30 conversion cheaper i will go this route since it offset the petrol cost. I don't drive too much so I think I can afford heavier fuel consumption..
