Dear Sifu-sifu and brothers,I own an E34 M50TU 525i. I m thinking of get rid of the catalytic convertor (I think it is partial jammed). But heard someone said that it will result in:1. Loss of torque when un slope climbing or under load.2. Take more time to reach top speed. Are these facts true? My concern is the torque because my car is usually being used for city driving. Take more time to reach top speed does not bother me much.Besides, if the catalytic convertor is to be removed, what will it be good to modified with:1. To connect with the straight pipes.2. To install a "bullet type" false convertor.Thank you every sifu-sifu and brothers opinions.

Well, if you install a bullet type canister to replace the catalytic converter, the loss in torque as a result of lower backpressure is not that dramatic, very insignificant.

Thank you very much brother.

As you mentioned a bullet type canister, how does it look like inside? Can it be found made of stainless steel material in the market?

Dear Sifu-sifu and brothers,

I further found out my exhaust are twin pipes, do you think i have to install two nos. bullet type canisters side by side?

Do you know if there is a type meant for twin pipes in the market?
