To all sifu's there. Need your help with regards to doing alignment for my E34. I went to a shop in uptown today and was told that my camber need to be pumped on the front wheel left-hand side. I was shocked, as far as i know E34 has no camber. So i think he was taking me for a ride. Can anyone recommend a good alignment shop with experience on a E34 pls............... I live in cheras and any shop in PJ, Damansara and subang is ok with me. Thanks a lot guys.

smike it is tru all our old school bmw have no camber for front. hence for e36 as far is i know the m3 mounts come auto with -2 cambers.
There are alternatives to pumping the camber which is via cheap way would be shims. or expensive would be pillow mount.
sometimes the camber runs could be due to lower arm bush worn. check those first. that being said one of the best alignment for me is in old klang road. on the main road its the michelin brand shop if you heading towards pearl point from mid valley on your left side.
cheers hope this helps

Dear smike, did u change anything there or just the alignment B'cause my E46 have the same problem 2. can u pls give me the contact no.....thanks

Many tyre shops out there will inform your ride needs camber 'pump' during alignment , especially if your ride is a BMW.
Simply bcos some shops charge up to RM180 a wheel. Big margin for them.

Rule No.1 - Never ever let them 'pump' ur BMW camber...highly ur wheel bearing will damage in near future

Rule No.2 - Check if the tyreman chooses the correct alignment settings on the computer, is your car on sports suspension or is it touring...

Rule No.3 - Check if ur vehicle suspension bushes / absobers are in order, any previous accident damage repaired badly

Rule No.4 - If you are confused, see Rule No.1:burnout:

Bro the boss name is Choo Kam Wah. His mobile no is 019 389 7433. Add is No.1 Jalan PJS 1/21A, Taman Petaling Utama, 46150. P.Jaya. Sign board is Pirelli - corner shop. Look for him, he is good and tell him your problem. Hope your problem will be solved too.

As far as "precision" front-end alignment on '89 E34 525i [one shop says only front end need alignment; another shop had also aligned rear wheels...?] and after replacing steering center & tie rods & absorber links, there's still a slight left drift. Not a tire problem, new Michelens, ...but in 90kph range there also is a slight shimmy. What else can be done to rectify this nuisance? Steering box mounting bolts? Idler arm? Wheel hub bearings...? Mechanics checked and "everything was "tight." Anybody have a clue...?

Bro sometimes these shops will say anything unless they have the experience. For sure E34 don't have rear alignment. That's making money out of cheating. After doing all that, have you done on wheel balance. This is crucial and again only do it for front wheels only. But make sure the rear wheels are balanced well. Bro better go to a shop that has done E34 alignment or else don't waste your time and money.

Bro that i am not sure. But this shop was recommended to me by the BMW specialist mechanic Nathan from Blue Green Motor Werks. I am happy with the Uncle's work when i went over there to do my alingment.

Checked the map....this one you went to its close to Wisma Peters just after the Old Klang Road turn up to PJ area....so should be diff....the one Slyder mentioned should be the one at the end of Old Klang Road nearer towards Mid Valley....

Will try and check him out...Tx
