Hai to all oldtimers...i just got a e32 last week..really need help/advice, why is the car so hard to start when the engine is hot but so easy to start when the engine is cold...and the car seems to be shaking...its sounds like a boxter engine (subaru impreza)...tried to change the cable plug but the problem still persist...really need help/advice...-NewbiE-

Check your fuel injectors and their wiring. Try pulling out their cables one by one and see which one doesn't affect the engine when it's idling roughly. Repeat the same for your ignition coils. Pull one by one out till you find one that doesn't affect the roughness of the engine. That should be your culprit.
If none of that works, you have to start looking at testing the air volume and air temperature sensors.

kolol.... i had the same experience sometimes ago.. only in hot condition.. never had any problem in the morning.. few times after stopping the car and park under hot sun in the afternoon..

checked the whole fuel delivery system and found out the culprit is a cracked and loose fuel hose in the fuel tank. Apparently when the fuel get heated up and with the cracks.. it started to expand and created void/bubbles in the fuel hose therefore it is not priming itself.. so no fuel reaches front. spend RM50 and everything is fine. it has been 3 years. by the way, it does create bad idling... with the bad hose..

thank you alan...will try and have a look at it...

Hi alan...does this happen after you have driven the car around for a while? What are the symptoms?

I am not sure if I have the same problem. It does get a bit difficult to start when it's been driven for a while, i.e. engine gets hot...

no issues in the morning.

cheers.

Had this problem before. Changed the fuel pump and that solved it.

As suggested, look into the fuel delivery system.
