hi e30 fellows; i have mine changed in february 2006 -- betls, bearings, tensioners, etc. it has been 45000km since and i think it is time to change, but is it necessary to change the tensioners and bearings too as these are metallic stuff and should not fail so easily after 1 year? please give me your advice! selespeed

it's recommended to change and it doesn't cost much. It's a good preventive measure for your m40. You will pay a high price if your tensioner fails on you. So, might as well change one set...
