e30 got cat con or not? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------i've been tryin my best to ask around, but couldnt get my answer verified, so sifus, by default, e30 pre 89 , do they come with cat cons? (catalytic converter) cos mine doesnt, and the exhaust fumes stinks! and my mech says it is not the mixture prob. so what could it be? well, i wouldnt wana add on to the greenhouse effect, if by putting on a cat con would seem like doing my part for the mother earth. so wat u guys think? your e30's come with cat con or not?

jules, no idea wat is a lambda sensor, lanpa got one wif me. just curious e30 m20 memang dun have cat con isit? hehe

pussy, its m20b20 so default is ada kah tak ada? ... well for my car there's a center box for god knows wat usage, but no cat con as far as the fler who did my exhaust claimed. anyways, other than fuel mixture, wat could be causing the smelly exhaust? bad combustion?
or bad karma?

m20b20 no cat con....at least not the ones sold in malaysia ler.anyways...function of cat con not to suppress the smell...and you shouldn't be smelling anything if yr exhaust system is functioning properly.also chk yr boot seals.fumes is entering yr car on the move...not good

fhuiyoh today saw one virgin- olive green e30 with alpina batch in sunway(MINGTIEN restaurant) with AC type3 i think rims. nice car! anyways moots bro, thanks for the tip, fumes not entering car, no worries,but if my car stop beside the road and wait for girlfriend to pay the bills or something, then i can smell the bad exhaust smell surrounding my car When i open door for her.

so i was just wondering is that a sign of bad combustion, or really fuel mixture (how to tune if so, cos my mech keep saying no prob wif the fuel mixture..altho i doubt he check) or wat other parts that i might be goner liao.
