E30 fuel cut at 4k rpm

Hi all..I experienced this problem yesterday as i was driving home from work. It was on a rainy day. My M40 happens to fuel cut after 4k rpm...even when i rev when idling. What seems to be the problem ? Budden today it was acting normal again...lol...any inputs on this matter? Would appreciate any =)

bro i experienced the same problem before here is what i did...might work for u as well
1) checked my fuel filter
2) checked my injectors
3) checked my relays
4) checked my fuel pump
after troubleshooting this components mine resulted to a need to replace my fuel pump...might not be the same for u but its worth the try to check this mentioned stuff first.

Thanks for the input bro..will check it out if the problem recur. for now it's working steadily again...weird but nevertheless..will pay close attention to the situation. =)
