Im having this problem since a week ago. DSC indicator always ON. Send to workshop in to rectify, check all cable and error code - still cannot settle. Is there any problem if the indicator always ON??

HEy bro not sure if this helps, did you check the reliabilty of the DSC swith itself?

Had the same prob....changed the switch...and was gone..

My 2 Cents

cheers :rock::smokin:

Thats is pretty normal and shows that your car's traction control system is working!!

When the car loses traction, whether its due to slippery or bumpy surface, the traction control system will come into action and thats when the DSC light starts to flicker!

Cheers :)

tq bro.. is it true that you have turn it on when the road is wet.. i tried it last week but couldnt appreciate the difference ..

it is always on. when u press the button and the light comes up it means that it is OFF! so that means u drove in the rain with traction control off :p

mr casanova.. are u sure about that.. then why is it flickering when the car is going on a bumpy surface..does it mean that the dsc is off at that time..sorry to argue with sifu ..just curious

yep, Casanova's right. The light blinks when the DSC detects that your car is going out of control, eg: when your wheels spin.

Tyre botak also can cause the indicator ON (because of tyre spinning). But Ive heard IF the lights ON too frequent, the indicator will remain ON and need to be reset....lucky if can be reset if not, prepare for wallet trimming ;)...cheerssss..

DSC can fail. Its a 5k job. Go to your BMW dealer / workshop to have a diagnostics then you can figure out what to do next.
