Difficulty in accessing the Forum

I have been encountering in accessing this forum 1. Once I get logged in it works for a few seconds after that it hangs.2. halfway replying to a post, it says not logged in, i have to relogin3. today 15 aug 2012 between 12.30-1.30am could not login at allInitially I thought it was my laptop causing, but when I log in to other websites and forum sites no problem I restart my laptop same problemswitch from google to Explorer, and to Firefox sameat the time of this post seems to be working fine

I was informed by our Admin that they were doing some revamping of the servers and hence the forum was down for few hours.

I believe it would be appropriate that all:

1. planned maintenance
2. unplanned mainetnance

be communicated to users of this forum.

These are standard practices within the IT world.

You may have a point, becos I see dat there is high traffic to this site. I have also encountered similiar problems with other forum sites, where its hosted on a normal hosting , and when they changed it semi dedicated server. the problem was resolved. dats just my 2 cents I could be wrong.
This afternoon I just could not log in at all it says "server not found". hopefully the issue can be resolved.

We the Committee feel what you feel bro ... and we are working very closely with the administrator to solve this technical issues :frown:. Sometimes I wonder why this usually happens when we are about to hold an event or drive or something that this problem escalates .. :17: ...:hmmmm:

For the moment, best we can do is to "subscribe" to thread that requires our constant attention .. :stupido2:

Positively thinking, Yes I believe that could be one of the many underlying reasons ... we are working on it .. :top:

I have suggested previously that the forum registration page incorporates a character check (sort of type in words/letter that you see in an image) to prevent automated spamming bots getting into our forums.

Have a look at the "SEARCH" function as well. it seem to be not working along with the "TODAY" & "NEW" post button..
