Difference between e60 525i and 530i LCI models

Hi guys,I am now looking into buying either a 525i or a 530i E60 LCI model. Aside from the engine hp, sunroof, gear lever and night vision in the 530i what other difference are there between these 2 models? I'm talking about local models only. What about the I drive, AV systems, seats, accessories, etc...? Is it worth the extra money?I know the 525 comes with the M-Sport package but I'm not a big fan. Prefer the stock look. So the 530 has the advantage but it is also harder to find and more expensive. Any input will be appreciated so that I can make the correct decision. Thanks

Check and see if the fuel we use here is suitable for the N53 engine. Check in the threads.

Both share the same engine, a 3 litre but one is de-tuned and the other, is not.

1. Local and Japan (AP import) LCI's are all N52's. Only those UK Specs are running on N53's. For UK Specs (N53), 525's and 530's are both 3 litre engines with different power output. For local CKD, 525 is still 2500cc and 530 is 3000cc since they are on N52.
2. The main changes on E60 LCI are the headlights, rear lights, interior, gear lever, etc. You can download the brochure easily from Google that lists the changes.
3. Sunroof, night vision, Logic 7 are all optional accessories and it depends if the previous owner opts for it. I'm not sure if all AB (local CKD cars) comes with sunroof though.
4. For CKD 530i LCI's, most of them comes with paddle shift but for AP car would depends.

If you prefer the normal version (non M-Sport), it is normally cheaper

That's the problem. The local 525 only came in M-Sports package. Which I don't fancy. I also want a local model. So the AP models are out. If the difference between the local 525 and the 530 is not too much in terms of accessories and trimmings, then probably I will get the 525 and then later on swap the M stuff with the normal fittings.

There are quite a number of non M-Sport local CKD 530i's when I was scouting for my unit last year. They are very feature packed with HUD, paddle shift, navigation, etc. I think it's worth the buy if that's what you're looking for Price range is around RM220K-230K for a '07 LCI.

530i come with logic7 sound system. 525i msport equip with BMW professional sound system. And 530i pack with a lot of extras goodies. And the prices is about the same. better go for 530i

Yes, I'm inclined towards the 530 but they are harder to come by. Any info on the extra goodies from the 530i? What were they?

My UK spec 530i LCI does not comes with Logic 7 sound system Like I said it's optional. If you're looking specifically at CKD models then you can read back articles from Paultan.org as it will give you exact details what is included in our local package cars.
