Hi forumers,As some of you might have read my other posts with regards to the loud whirring sound that I am hearing in my E39, I was thinking of getting it diagnosed at Autobavaria. I have been to 4 mechanics now - WP Auto, Optimum, MSpeed as well as BMWorks and none have been to really pin point the issue.Do you think I can get it diagnosed at AB and then send it to my mechanic to have it repaired? Would AB have a higher chance of diagnosing? Or are there any recommendations? How much does AB charges for diagnosis?Thanks for your help!

The mechanic said it isn't the steering pump. The noise is apparent even when the steering is straight. It is there even when the a/c is switched off and even louder when the a/c is on. Aih... =( It's so loud that the UDM experience is not there at all... That's why I wanted to know if I can go to AB for a checkup.

you don't need to switch on AC to hear the bering sound. did you check the compressor pulley bering. If it is whirring on idle no diagnostic is going to identify it. it sounds mechanical. call 0122886480 yong ara damansara. he has the same diagnostic tool as AB. he charges RM150.
