Defensive Driving Course FR

I attended a one-day defensive driving course yesterday in Shah Alam. Honda provided a variety of cars. But I decided to use my Z4 3.0si to a series of on-tarmac test that tested its handling, ABS, DTC (traction control) etc. Must say I was impressed. Especially driving without any DTC, with partial (?) DTC and full DTC on a wet and oily road. Try coming hard at 90km/h straight, hit and oily patch, steer left and see the car go into a spin without traction control. Then do the same with DTC. Hardly a sweat.Also did a slalom and ABS/no-ABS braking.We take things for granted but those features are real potential life savers.Happy to discuss at TT and maybe perhaps arrange a customised session if there is sufficient response.NetMaestro

The theory (3 hrs) was held at KGSAAS and most of the afternoon (4+ hours) was at the Shah Alam Stadium car park, next to to go-kart circuit. Nice wide area about the size of the a soccer field.

The event was organized by Autoworld. Honda was their main sponsor by providing cars/SUV for the event.

Haiyaaaa.. that's why luke warm response ka to track day...other clubs I understand la coz no referee.. Please ask Jyazid(comittee member) la ... 12Million also I wont rip off anybody, let alone 12k .. ... dont worry.. no offense taken.. I would feel the same way too and confirm my anxiety with appropriate parties lah.. that's why I ask u all confirm who am I with Jyazid laaa... if I divulge who am I , nanti orang kata Lansi la, eksyen la etc... malas la kan..but I think Yazid already said something in my thread kan...if Kumar SIC said can have PRIVATE TRACK DAY and come on d day n pay,I also like , that would be best lah..then it wouldnt be a PRIVATE TRACK DAY kan...

I wonder if there would be enough interest for an exclusive day of BMWClub members for this defensive driving course. BMW charges 1,500 - 1,700 RM for two people sharing a 3-series (provided). If we use our own car, may be it could be less. And a lot more fun. I need to check. Any interest?
