Hey there all sifus, I understand that it is possible to dechrome the window seals of earlier to later types. Can anyone recommend a place to do this? And how much will this approximately cost? Thanks in advance for any advice :)

Cheapest way, use black tape and tape over ha ha

yes, better this way in case you want to revert back to a dark colour
if you sandpaper and paint over, there is no turning back, and there is no guarantee it will stay in blackout as the original blackout because of the layer of chromium

Yeah... Get the matte black tape. Easily available at most accessory shops. I've spent 2 taping up my E30 before. No one noticed it was tape untill i pointed it out to them.

Do a search for Strider's DIY thread. That was my reference before.

the chrome are for cars from that era and you should learn to accept and appreciate that...

good luck anyhow.
