My aircon blower started going crazy. It went full max on it own. I switched it off and then max was like only a quarter. Then it refused to follow any adjustments.I remembered a couple of forumers had the same problem and changed a capacitor to fix the problem. Could those who has had this problem share their experience. What is this capacitor and where is it located?Thanking you in advance.

Thanking you in advance.
I don't think the correct term to call the variable speed controller a capacitor. A capacitor only smooth the voltage for DC volt application. I think it is the linear power module.

Older car use some power resistors to drop the voltage across the motor to control the speed. Modern circuit use voltage regulator to control the speed of a DC motor either by PWM or PAM.

btw, previous thread mention the power module cost about RM600 plus.

check this thread for more info.
