Continental / foreign tires cheaper in SG?

Hi there, was hoping some of the bros around the JB or SG area could help me out with this.I've heard that for brand new tires, e.g. Conti Sport Contact 2, the prices for new tires are MUCH MUCH cheaper in Singapore, hence alot of people drive down, change on new tires, then drive back on them. I've heard it's as little as >RM2k for a set.Sounds abit too cheap, but hey what do I know lol. Anyway, if it is so, is that the normal price at any shop in SG or only at certain places?Reason I ask is cause my dad needs to get new tires for his E39 already and he happens to be driving down to JB in 2 weeks time, so if he can get new Contis or other good tires down in SG, he'll get them there. New tyre is a bit cheaper than M'sia in s'pore, but do u add up with the cost if u drive from KL to S'pore? Better idea is u call the tyre shop 1st. Can try to look at Sin Ming Autocare or Hurry.

the last time i check, the tyres in sg were not cheaper but on par after the exhange rate..

Oh OK, about the same after conversion ar. I thought it would be much much cheaper.

Well this time, can ignore the cost of petrol and all cause whether or not buying tires, my dad is still goin to JB for work.
