Compatible Smart Phone for F10 !!!

Dear Esteem Members,

I have a 2013, F10 (Diesel) and have been having issues with my Bluetooh when connecting to my mobile phone. Previously was using Oppo Find 7 and there were no issues and when i changed to S6 Edge, the problem started. Every time when connected to Bluetooth, it disconnects by it self and reconnects again. This keep on happening.

So when im on the telephone call with someone, suddenly i don't hear anything as the bluetooth disconnects and then it reconnects again. This also happened when i listen to Spotify via my car Bluetooth. anyone facing this problem or issue ?

When i brought this up in the SC the mention than my car model does not have the drivers or not supporting the new S6 Edge as yet, hence the problem cannot be resolved until they release a new update. Till know no solution other than changing the phone to Note 3 or Iphone 6 as those are supported.

Please advise.

I'd start with deleting the BT profile in the car and deleting the pairing settings in your phone - shut both the car and phone down for a while and then try again.

If that doesn't work, go online and check BMW's latest iDrive firmware and compare with your vehicle's version to see if you have the latest firmware (you will need your VIN to find the correct firmware).

Next, make sure your phone has the latest Android version.

If all the above is done and it still has issues then tough luck, you have to wait for Samsung/Google and/or BMW to release an updated software for BT and BT streaming.

I previously had this issue when I updated my iOS from 7 to 8 on the F30 and had to wait for Apple to release a small patch soon after to address the issue. You can Google to see if other owners are facing the same issue because the iOS 8 BT issue with BMW and other manufacturers was a well known issue worldwide and they had to do something about it.
