morning bros...am driving a manual e30 for about a year now...but recently changed the clutch plate + housing and also the clutch pumpnow I feel that my clutch is very high... (already more than 1 month)I have to depress till about 2/3 of the clutch before my car can start movingAsk the mechanic to adjust but he claims its not adjustable...Nowadays have to drive bare foot on the clutch as my shoes get stuck easily when I am driving due to the high clutch needed to depress, and its really a pain in the assquestions:1) is it the same for most bros out there driving the manual version2) is there really no adjustment for it at all? thanks....

The E30 clutch system runs on hydraulic... can't be adjusted... u sure u got the correct clutch pump??? U bought it yourself or the workshop got it for you?

Is there a difference between the OEM and Original Clutch pump?
Its a very simple device though....

thanks for your reply!

it's so simple that they might mix up the pump for E36 and E30... ;)
Both look the same except for the lenght of the shaft...

thanks fabian,

I made a quick check on the clutch pumps for E30 and E36 via RealOEM website!
They do seems a little different form the sketches... I hope I got the right one!

Will see how to get them rectified soon

did you notice whether the 'Ball Pin' is still good or still there?.... It's a plastic tip which the fork lever is resting on (the other end of the fork level is pushed by the clutch pump. It can fall off during dismantling and not noticeable... however, it's a bitch to remove the gearbox again to replace this few-dollar part..

no joke... the labour will cost like 50X just for that job alone!
Didnt realised it as they changed all the mentioned items above while I was away in office by then

took them almost 2 days to get all the stuffs that includes the gearbox + clutch plate & housing

sigh... I hope its not this case though
