Clarification needed on open pod air intake filter.

To all sifus, I have an E46 2001 2.0 litre 6 potter and a novice with a novice question. If I were to put in an open pod air intake filter, will it affect the computer setting at all and require resetting or it won't effect at all?To the sifus in Kota Kinabalu, where can I have the open pod filter installed?Recommendations, suggestions and advise appreciated.

I can answer one of your questions, if your running just an open pod filter it wont do you much good efficiency wise as it will be sucking in all the hot air in the engine bay.

Best if you have a heat shield/enclosed filter with a "cold air intake" installed..but beware where you place the intake hose as you dont want to be sucking in water.
