can we make sure aircond OFF when car OFF?

wat i knew so far was the aircond is programmed like tat for euro.when we turn the car key.... the air cond is auto ON.it will hurt the battery rite?? :beaten: btw... wat battery u guys using??thinking to change my soon thanks

Do you mean the AC blower is still running? Or the electric fan?

take it to a workshop which has a diagnostic tool and tell them your problem. hopefully they can sort it out

guys..if u r not sure or do not have the climate contol a/c..pls refrain from commenting..actually the a/c is not switched on..only the blower..theres no additional load on the battery..the compressor will only kick in after you have started the car..no worries..all the climate control a/c for bmw are programmed this way..dont fixed something which is not broken..trust the BMW engineers in Bavaria..

aiks, mine is b4 i got out i off my a/c, when i ignite back, it still stays as off but in my fren's e46, no matter how many i off it, it will turn on even though i have switched it off..

maybe it gotta do with the progs... i think u gotta reprogram it back.. as our car is meant to suit our preference, maybe the ex-owner preferred it to be swithc on when the engine is on..! hopefully it helps..!

That doesn't seem to be the case with mine..

Before I kill the engine, I turn of the AC/compressor, but not the Blower.
When I start the car again, the Blower is on, and I have to manually activate the AC.

If I turn off the Blower before killing engine, when I restart the next time, the Blower comes on by itself.

Hope that helps..

If your AC/compressor is coming on by itself even after switching off, then maybe that's not normal????

It turns on and off the AC compressor...
Otherwise your blower is just blowing hot air.

i think no nd AB le. any mechanics tat have the diagnostic device will be able to help. but make sure its a trustable n experience mech if u dunwan them to screw up on yr other progs.!
