The story: I bought my E46 unreg model @ a dealer... I trade in my wira (converted). So at first he said ok... bodykit no need to change.. then after handover he said cannot lepas JPJ so have to revert back to original....so I did lah... except for the front bonnet... coz he said nevermind the bonnet... no need to change...buyer wants it.. oklah... then suddenly after a few weeks he called I have to change the bonnet... but i said the car alredy handover...in his posession and I've alredy took and settle my E46 (loan, roadtax, etc) except for my spare key. I want my spare key....so he said change the bonnet first then he will give me my spare key... Can he do this??? Wut can I do?? This is SO UNPROFESIONAL!.

Hi Over there!

Sympathise with yr predicament.

I was somewhat in a similar situation when I traded in my car abt 8 yrs ago.The dealer later claimed they encountered problems with JPJ with regards to my previous car.Won't go into details here but it was clearly no fault of mine.I had my documentations all in order.

What irritates me was they insisted I pay up the balance(the value of my traded-in car) from my loan and to take my car back! And this was after abt 2 years the S&P was signed!

A simple solution for me then was to get a lawyer to write to them
explaining my situation and indicating that I was prepared to deal with them in court if they so feel they were in the right.
That's was the last time I ever heard from them again.

Maybe you could try talk it out and reason with them first but if all that fails
I believe you do have to play hard ball with these people sometimes.
Hope that helps.

I alredy tried reasoning and slow talk with him... he still insisted holding on to my spare keys.... if i wanna play hard ball.... how??? legally of course... (if illegaly, I've alredy beat the crap out of him) but we're both adults rite... no need to resort to violence... but if worse come to worse..................

hi....

best way, go to the kementerian hal elwal pengguna. i think they know how to teach the dealer a lesson or two.

how...iz there any tel no??? or their office I can go???

firstly try get a lawyer friend draft a letter... letter kelentong with their letterhead... just to show how serious you are. am sure this will let him think twice to play a fool with you. car was sold, it is no more ur problem... unless it's only a week.

or get a taiko to help you... but need to pay for their service.

Obviously they cant do that. Its two separate issues....

Of course, the next question is what is your next course of action/remedy.

alredy maki him on the phone.....called the used car company owner and complaint and DEMAND my spare key....I also threaten to lodge a police report and use legal actions..coz he is breaching his contract.... Now i'm just waiting HIS next move......
