Can the multimedia be decoded to allow us to watch dvd while driving ?

Noticed that the screen goes blank and does allow u to watch movie when the car starts moving. It only allows u to watch in stationary for safety reasons. Anyway to remove that feature ? Anyone have done it before ?

In short, yes. I doubt BMW will allow to do it for you. You can read about it in overseas forum, just google.

You can code it yourself.

Takes about an hour to learn coding
50 bucks to buy a good cable (cheaper if you're willing to do some shouldering)
Beyond that you just have fun coding anything and everything plausible.
