DV8R:
To set the record straight .. like I said, I have only been in here for a month and I am just parroting information given to me during internal sales meetings.

However, I do find it strange that our service centre has been closed down when

No. 1 - our service centre is not even officially opened yet
No. 2 - our service centre was designed by BMW Malaysia.

Maybe your boss has been dealing with the wrong people. Sometimes, unfortunate things happen and customers have to be asked to wait and be patient. If you give me some more information about your case, I would be more than happy to look into this case personally. If your only intention is to vent, disseminate half-truths, malign and attack me or my company, there is no point in me saying anything else, right?

Spaceman:
Sorry, we don't have an outlet in the south. Only in KL, PJ and Ipoh.
Young lady I have no interest in maligning you or you company. I would not have wished you well if that was my intention. I was merely sharing my views as a customer and I do find your response needlessly curt. As for you personally looking into our case, I do appreciate the offer but if as I said in my last post, we've already approved a resolution to sell the car so there's nothing you can do to salvage this case. The damage has already been done and we now have a corporate account with Auto Bavaria and BMW Malaysia who've extended attractive corporate discounts for our company purchases. Incidentally it was they who mentioned that your service centre failed their internal audits. Learn from the mistakes of your collegues and you will do well. Arguing with customers and accusing them is really quite unbecoming and will get you nowhere. I will now put this matter to rest as in a matter of days my company will no longer be a Cartrade customer. As for the rest of you, you're all well heeled & well educated adults. I'm sure you'll know who to buy from and do not solely rely on forums as a means of making your decision.

DV8R, After writing a really long post, I just realised that this is all not worth the time and effort. None of this is my fault and I am not so stupid to believe that you have no intention of maligning me or my company as your posts have shown otherwise. I seriously think you are just a troublemaker. Becoming or not, I am just not bothered.

All the best at AB.

Ms. D, any plans for Cartrade to come to Kuching?
Not that I know of. I would advice against getting a brand new BMW unless you live near the only AB service centre in East Malaysia (it might be in Kuching, I need to check) or in Brunei Darulsalam.

Hmm...

Cartrade or AB = Self Preference .

Those who had a bad stint with any of them should go to the other ..right common customer sense .

Always make sure of the after sales support and the service is proven .

Cheers

My 2 sen :D

I think this post is a bit OTT on ur part...

Like I said, since u're new in the company, there are histories that u may want to find out so that if it were to be brought up in the future, u'll know what to answer....

Dimples - I found your earlier responses to be reasonably proper and good. However, DV8R sounds like he's been genuinely aggrieved and customers have every right to vent their frustration or share their adverse experience. I'm afraid in your new line, this is something you may see more often. You're in no position to offer anything tangible to redeem cartrade's purported failings. Hence, it is not surprising for DV8R to express his cynicism. I suppose the best thing you can do for your company is to understand the ordeal your customers have to put through with inadequate service and keep us abreast of tangible developments. I have dealt with many unreasonable customers in my work too and there are times when they cross the line and I PUT THEM DOWN. However, now is clearly not the time yet, gurl!

Didn't get the chance to wish you all the best in your new job!

Gentlemen,

Let me draw the thin, fine line again as thin, fine lines are not always legible. While I may work for Cartrade, I am NOT Cartrade.

Again I will point out that I am not here to canvass for customers or make up for the shortcomings of Cartrade's big, bad, yet-to-be-opened service centre. When choosing between Cartrade and AB, Shyam says it best. It is really up to you, the customer to decide what best suits your needs. As a newbie, I remember sifting through long threads of complaints, gripes and other assorted negative comments in this forum about AB service centres. The service centres aforementioned are still around till this day.

'nuff said.

On the other hand, I believe DV8R started the ball rolling when he questioned my honesty. That is a personal attack againts ME not against Cartrade. I believe this is crossing the line.

As I am aware that this is also going to start another needless debate, I am going to have to withdraw myself from this thread since both DV8R and I are even stevens. All you guys with the luxury of time can feel free to carry on. I just won't be reading it.

So guys, thank you for your insight. It has been duly noted. I came here at the request of another forummer who requested information and I believe that has been accomplished. Now I better get back to taking care of my own portfolio of clients before they go complaining about me on an internet forum. :p

Everybody have a good week now .... :D

My recent experience with Cartrade and AB began shortly after the E90 launch. I scheduled a test drive via BMW Malaysia's website and selected Cartrade Ipoh for convenience. I was expecting a 'If you don't buy it, someone else will' attitude that seems to be prevalent among BMW salespeople particularly in the Klang Valley, so imagine my surprise when the salesman was courteous, helpful and non-assuming (I deliberately placed a set of Proton keys in the center console during the test drive).

In the end the 325i was purchased from AB- reasons include (i) AB's practise of de-prioritizing non-AB vehicles; and (ii) faster delivery. I'd like to add that I would've bought the car from Cartrade Ipoh had they been able to match AB's terms. The Cartrade salesman even offered to help with the tender of a license plate DESPITE my buying the car from AB. I am yet to come across an AB salesperson who is as customer-oriented.

hey alex,
congrats on your new toy! which color u pick?
most likely i 'll be getting the Arctic from AB as well, they seem more efficient over the phone and kind'a keen. i'm trading in a 1.5 Wira asking reasonable market price for it. well, they gonna come back to me in few days time unlike other dealer which seem not interested (even after 2 weeks still no news) with the attitude of "u wanna buy buy lar, dun wanna buy get lost!"
