Zog, you didn't wet your pants, especially in the middle part which attracted the attention, or did you?

Why would I wet my pants.???? Now where's Yolk????..please tell them what happened...

LOL Zoggee, looks like you were getting a little too visibly excited with test driving the cars, much to the sales girl's attention.

Sounds like a great event guys, please keep the pics rolling...

I am beginning to think the CKD e90's have different standard suspension settings than the ones we get here...such remarks as 'wandering' and 'floaty' never crossed my mind here, will definitely check out the e90s back home soon.

Yeeeshhh, only managed to test drive one car... the 320. Overall, oklah, on a scale of 1 to 10, I give a 6. Did not like the steering... it may be "direct" but got that "dead" feeling to it. Prefered my ex-E36. Got more feel. Powerwise, definitely more responsive than my SLOTH but gimme back my ex-E36 (325i). Test drive was too short... only managed to push it when joining the highway. Other than that, it was ho hum. Surprisingly, the refinement i.e NVH, I prefer my SLOTH. SLOTH is quieter:D . Should have tried the 525 but it was getting pretty late already.

Others I like... the free food and drinks.:D

Ok, where did I put my lottery ticket? The M6 is slurpy but I have my eyes on the 525 touring....

BMW Brunch was great, food was catered by La Bodega, so wonderful sandwiches, pasta and steaks. Lots of really nice cars to see, exp the M5, M6 and 130. Q's for the car were really long (waited 2 over hours to get a ride). Actually quite dissapointed to get the 116i but when told it was the only manual bimmer available (not including mcs) cheared up abit.

Got nik and his friend to join the test drive (so we could change midway and have longer time with the car). So had 4 ppl in the car, and even then it did not feel too sluggish. Car felt tight, no scuttle shakes, however had to redline it (6.5K) to get the car really moving (should have been better without all the other passengers) Exhaust note was not too boomy even at redline, internal space was quite acceptable (actually more then my 4-door e30), no active steering, so steering feedback was good. My only gripe with the car was the gearshifts, they were very long, and the clutch catch point was quite high.

Cost.......~160K abt as much as second hand MSC. Possibly the closest BMw has done to replicate the raw driving characteristics of the e30. Couldn't wait anymore for another car but overall had a great afternoon, thanx again to BMW for the event.

zoggee
hahahahaha kena fever already la .. whole of sunday stay at home ... popping pills and counting sheeps ...

yeah yeah the 740il ride was awesome .. cannot imagine such a big car handling the way it did ... and the brakes awesome ... zoggee keep asking the salesgirl how to switch this on and off .. and she kept looking around for the buttons including in between his legs .. hahahahaha damn funny ... and the ride was smooth as well ... and the leg space in the car .. OMG ... macam 1st class la ...

manage to get another ride with superstar alvin in the same car and this time I manage to play around with the buttons at the rear ... got so many controls for the seat itself ... and alvin manage to take the car out for a spin out of the normal route ... wahahahahhahaha ... can fall asleep at the back man ...

of all the cars driven the 740i was my favourite...they even had a phone to communicate with the driver from the back seat thats how big it was..kekkeke
I took yolk out with me so that he can drive later and I seat behind but that was not to be ...he was too comfortable behind and I didnt want to let go the steering wheel. Actually brake tested the car in real situation with no drama at all, twice in fact...we were going 'Fast' when this little Kelisa came in to our path...phew was I glad i was driving the top of the range beemer then. Our route was an extended version , we went out with 3 people in the car but came back with 4..kekkekke all ThXXX to the very cutie pie Sales Executive, Samantha. Pls PM me for number..
.....if u want to buy a Beemer that is..kekekkeke

I wasn't planning to go for this event since I thought better to just arrange private test drives at Glenmarie but since the venue was so near my place, I decided to pop by and was pleasantly surprised how well this event was carried out. I tested the 2 E90s, the 320i and 325i. The latter was quite satisfactory, reaffirming E46F's earlier review that the double vanos was more noticeable in higher rpms and the higher redline gave me a longer and harder erection than the E46. I also felt the engine output had a more explosive feel compared to the E46. The 320i was not that disappointing since there was ample low end torque while toddling around but with the pedal floored, my male ornaments didn't quite manage a standing ovation. What did the trick was the aheermm... the promotion personnel in tight white and somewhat see through pants. I'm such a suc:ker for white! to the extent my gal companion almost smacked me for going too ga-ga. Oh, the food was pretty good too. On another note, even though I've had an E34, E36 and E46, I felt lost when it came to operating the instrumentation of the E90. This seems to have taken a quantum leap in its evolution which is good since when the time comes to upgrade, the E90 would feel far newer than my earlier migration from E36 to E46.

The CKD e90 325i is not with sports suspension!
I do feel the car my e90 325i 'wandering' and 'floaty' when it hits 190 km/h.
But overall, the feel is much more better than e46.

I agree with you, David. The tighter and yet quicker steering made a world of difference to me so much so I wasn't particularly perturbed by the runflats and non-MTech suspension. I like the smallish steering cos it felt more sporty. The E90 seemed roomier too. The only drawback for me is getting used to the circular side mirrors.

It's a bit spacious as compared to e46. Mainly is due to the car seat shape especially for the rear seat.
