I noticed when I apply the brake on the bump, the brake seems like hitting the bump. Anyone has such similar experience ? Is this consider normal ?

You should release the brake just before hitting the bump or you will get a big impact. This is normal la. Don't brake at the last minute. If you know you are too late then just let go the brake just before hitting the bump to avoid heavy impact.

Wouldnt that be the ABS kicking in?

ABS only kicks in when you do hard braking in serious situations especially when you're avoiding something on the road.

Possible the ABS kicks in, under this kind of situation, for jap car it usually won't. Perhaps bimmer does
