And this...

This is definitely NOT a nuclear powerplant. Let me see...this is how they make Ribena. Gone are the days when people with warts on their feet jumping on the grapes all day long. The one marked with "Montepulciano" label - is the best of the best. Bro Jerman, please take note.

This farmhouse actually partcipates in agriturismo. You can actually stay with the family and spend a few nights here for an authentic Tuscan experience. Agriturismo comes in many forms. You can choose to stay in a vineyard, on top of the hill, in the middle of nowhere or something like the one featured in the movie Gladiator, where the hero Russell Crowe enters the heaven's gate. Very cool indeed.

Now it's TT time. Well, actually lunch time. The venue is at Frattoria il Pulcino, just before Montepulciano. It was housed in a 16th century farmhouse own by the Ercolani family. Very nice and cosy place.

Another view of Montepulciano from the panoramic terrace where we had our lunch.

Here comes the salad.

It goes very well with Pulcino's home grown olive oil.

And not to forget the balsamic vinegar.

One big happy family.

Sergio Ercolani and Gabriella Matassini created their strong agency while raising six children. Since the children were very young, each has contributed to the business in his or her own special way.
Elisabetta is dedicated to collaborating with her sisters.
Cecilia manages the restaurant and menu of Fattoria Pulcino.
Carlo and Marco’s interests are in the field of agriculture, overseeing personally the production of wine and olive oil. They also manage and organize all the family’s shops and enoteca (wine tastings) in Montepulciano.
Angela heads traditional Tuscan cooking at the family’s restaurant, Fattoria Pulcino, and biological productions.
Stella, along with her mother, heads receiving and sales at Fattoria Pulcino.
The Fattoria Pulcino Restaurant can be found on the road from Chianciano, on the right, just before Montepulciano.
