Bmw reverse sensor keep beep

After the mechanic re-installed my e46 bumper(in between he unplug the reverse sensor)Then the sensor keep beep.anybody experience into it?need to reset by the Dianostic machine?

Hi Kelvin,
Believe we met at ZF Auto the other day. Googling around yields that you may have a faulty sensor..? You can check by putting the car in reverse without the engine on and listen for clicking on a working sensor.

I had this problem about 3 years back but mine was continous sound instead of beeps. This would sound when I engaged reverse even when there was nothing at the back. Took it to AB where I was maintaining my ride and they took the car in and returned it after 1 hour. Don't really know what they did but still working till now (touch wood!).
