I am researching the history of a BMW M3 touring car that raced at 1. Johor Race series 1 15-16 March 1997 2. Johor Race series 2 June 1997 3. Johor Race series 2 5-6 September ? 96 or 98Can anyone kindly help with with finding copies of the race programs to obtain a copy of the entry list, or does anyone on the forum have copies they could send me.Thanks

I knew of 1 E30 M3 racing in Batu 3 back in 92 or there about. It was driven by a Leif Norberg. Not sure if it's the same car you're referring to.
Anyway, not sure where to point u to look for these details.

hi guys I am still looking for these race programmes.
I am coming to KL and wonder whether there are any English language newspapers or local race magazines that might have the results of the races. If I went to Johor race circuit or saw someone from Johor Race Club might they have the programmes that I could photocopy. Maybe the Automobile Association has them.
I have tried emailing the various organisations but no response so I thought it would be worth a visit to them while I was there.
What do you think.

Last I heard of such car was a E30M3 DTM with 380bhp raced by Joachim Winkelhock,brother of former F1 driver the late Manfred Winckelhock with Chief BMW Instructor Ringgo Chong at Sepang.He has it but sold it to an enthuthiast in Philippine..that was long time ago even BMW club wasn't a club yet. I doubt he'll remember me. Btw,he is Singaporean.

If its indeed the car driven by Ringo, I may be able to ask him if he can assist you.

Btw, was this E30 M3 featured in BMW Magazine few years back?

Not sure if it was featured. Can you post up the article. I will try and put some photos up.

Hi all, I am writing as I have purchased the M3 that drbob wrote about last year. I have tracked down Clinton Wee who was the last person to race the car. Clinton has told me that he bought the car with the assistance on Ringo Chong back in the mid 1990s. If anyone can help with contacting Ringo, or has any further information it would be appreciated.
