Exciting race this year. Audi's win was totally unexpected because the Peugeots looked unbeatable throughout the race weekend. German reliability and thoroughness won in the end :top:

And diesels still rule the Le Mans

The BMW art car was stunning to look at in the race but unfortunately due to some miscalculation, it ran out of gas!
Best finish for BMW is sixth in its class, which was won by Porsche.

Yeah this year's race was exciting but not as exciting as last year. We have less LMP1 cars but more GT2 cars. The Audi won the race, and I have to say they deserve it. They have the best reliability, pace and team managemet unlike Peugeot. All 3 Peugeot had terrible luck towards the end of the race. 3 of their cars suffered turbo failure and 1 of them suffered a damaged chassis due to a tyre blow. Sadly next year we won't have GT1 and GT2 class but instead, all being class as GT and LMP1 and LMP2. Heck, next year is going to get more than exciting!

I have no doubt diesel will win. They have a slight advantage over petrol. Actually a lot. Diesels have more power, torque and fuel efficiency than petrol. The best petrol running LMP1 car is Aston Martin LOLA which I think finished 5th overall.

Well indeed, the Art Car is amazing. This is one of the best BMW Art Car that I've ever seen from Jeff Koons. I wish I could see it racing under the starts but it didn't happen. That slight miscalculation ruined everything. BMW's weekend had never been easy. Car 79 suffered puncture, again puncture, gearbox then steering later out of fuel. Car 78 on the other hand suffered puncture, suspension, driveshaft, and brakes. It seems they don't really have a luck they used to have in Nurburgring but happy to see them there. They were fighting with the AF-Corse Ferrari in the morning for 3rd in the GT2 class but that driveshaft failure ruined everything... I still feels sorry for the 79 car though. All Jeff Koons said was ''Anything can happen in a race'' that means he is pretty much into racing.

24 Hours of Le Mans is a one of a kind race. Instead of a sprint race, this one really test the drivers and the cars to the limit. Owh, also the team management. BMW is still new in Le Mans after their last success back in 1999 with their first ever and last victory in the LMP1 class with the V12 LMR, probably the sexiest LMP BMW ever made, and yet it's an art car :D So I guess see the cars racing again next year, because it's going to get a lot more exciting.

I could write a full race review with this :p
