the reason i never put ambi pur in my bmw is because i love this smell so much... it is the authentic smell of bmw cars, from the day we had the 2002 to e21 to e30 to e34.... i don't know about modern bmw's, but i hope they still smell the same...

btw, i think alfa's too has some sort of this 'authentic' interior smell... i still can remember the smell of my dad's guilia and AR 2000...

I believe it is under the mat. I had once spill drink on the floor mat which I did not clean it properly.

Bacteria start to grow below the mat. The bacteria release an awful odour. I had to put those mat on the sun to kill the bacteria.

Arrrrgg very awful smell....
