BMW e46 325i tramission from auto to manual

HI sifus....im planning to buy a bmw e46 325i..to be honest with u all,im zero knowledge in bmw car..daty i started 2 read this forum past 6month...all while i started to read this forum,most of the bmw onwer complaining about the gearbox issue..is it auto gearbox for bmw is not reliable???correct me if im wrong..im planning to buy bmw e46 325i and want to convert the gearbox to manual.(im a person who love to drive manual transmission). Is it wise decision???please advice me..it is very hard to find a manual transmission e46 325i unless its a M3 have a manual transmission..wat model gearbox (manual) is suitable for the e46 325i?is it easy to find in the market??can u recommend me any workshop??please advice me..please advice me on this issue.

Or drive 80km/h daily to work like me...sure the autobox lasts forever
