Not really. Go and compare the prices with normal workshops. I got the engine oil filters at RM 17. Normal workshop charges RM 35 to RM 45 for the same thing. Haven't check the clip prices though. Do a bit of homework and you can really save a lot on these little parts.

Cheers

uurrrmmm.... we are talking about clips prices here...

yes u can buy the panel door clip at glenmarie..looh Mr Vasu pic..for Sparepart Department..

get those door clip in glemarie as the price is much more cheaper that some of the spare parts shops ...the difference in price is huge ... can take your whole family for a dinner meal ....

OK ..something that i would like to share is ...if you're gonna replace the clip...u need to install it with a DIY rubber spacer ...yahhh where to find t rubber spacer ?? get those tyre tiubs in the tyre shop ..a used one or the thrown one ...

all you need to do is cut the tiub to a 10cent coin size and make a hole in the middle .... fit the rubber spacer into your newly purchase clip and VIOLAAAA the sound dissapears soon after you've install it back

hmmm... good idea bro.... here's a bit of contribution, if lazy just get those rubber replacement washers for leaky taps. It's about the size of 10sen and has a hole in the middle. I think u can get a Ringgit for 4 in a package or something like that

won't be able to fit as those replacement washers are kindda thick...

why waste a ringgit for 4 ...you may need atleast 9 of those for a door X the number of doors ..

tyre tuibs are cheaper and it's not so that thick ...get those used one will do bro ..maybe a ringgit could get you a lorry tuib and you can make more and more spacers ...

bro ,

changing all the clips will cost you less than RM10 / door .
it's still worth a try - it even if the sounds did not go away .

the only problem is if the anchor hole for the clip on the
doorcard is broken / dislodged - then you need to get
creative with the 2 tonne epoxy :listen:

Hai santdagon

What is the solution?? that the noise appear against.. i got the same problem..

HAI mEGATNIZA

Strangely, my squeaks has disappeared

after a car wash or heavy rain ??
that's normal ...then it will come back ...
i have learn to live with it ...LOL
parts & parcel of driving E36s ...

Come to think of it, it stopped after I drive back to Penang for CNY with my two children at the back. Still dont understand why it stopped.

hi all..

my e36 also having the same problem but its not squeaking, it just rattling sound.. i manage to fix it myself, open the panel, and finally found the sound came from the metal that hold the black plastic retainer..

frankly, im just using cable tie to fix it.. and it is simple work.. can diy.. =)

after this, need to replace all the door clips and manage to do it in this week if possible.. :smokin:

I also asked my mechanic to open all door panels/trunk and put new clips, after which 80% of the noises were eliminated. The only noises are from the front side passenger seat sometimes. I've just learned to live with it also.

Well I always have my stereo turned on in the car, so that way squeaks and noises are not a concern while driving on a bumpy/uneven road.
