BMW e28 520i wont start????

Hi everyone, in new to the forum and im from Brunei...need little advise from you guys out there...my car wont start but able to crank up when i turn on the ignition switch but somehow it wont rev up...i dont know what seem to be the problem?The last time it start i have to hit the accelarator a bit to get stable idling and on that unfotunate sunday my car somehow experinced 'lost of power' and immediately shut off my car and from that day i was unable to start my car...can someone out there tell me what exactly happened to my car? my friend suspected it could be faulty AFM but how can i check if my AFM is working properly?Help me guys cause i missed driving my beemer....

hi... have you checked the fuel supply? the fuel pump, its relay. sometimes it's a small problem but overlooked

i've checked the fuel pump but havent check its relay?will look into that sometimes next week.

Hello Friends..my bmw also like last time..cannot start...the problem is...car ignition starter spoiled..so i modified n change another 1...now my car fine...so u guys try that and see....tc

Hi All,

There are 3 main possibilities if the car can't rev up...

1) Fuel delivery system : i) Fuel pump ii) Fuel pump relay
2) Ignition system : i) Spark plug ii) Plug cable iii) Distributor cap iv) Ignition coil
3) Engine management/Protection system : i) Computer box ii) Engine cut-off sensor

Make sure your car battery has enough power (CCA) as it drives the fuel pump and the ignition spark.
