Last week,i have been to one of tyre shop in town to change new tyre my car including balancing and aligment. In the same time the mechanic advice me to intall chamber kit part to protect my tyre in good aligment always, because my chamber out about 1.58degree(terkangkang).The cost for the one side chamber kit around RM120 including install. This chamber kit is locally manufactured. What is your commet and advice for the above this product? B) ;)

camber kit for E36???

I know u can actually add washers to increase negative camber...

I think its those sleeve like thingy they slot in to your absorber part that mounts to your brake knuckles . Thos are not that helpful...

Get fabs to help u get the kmax type la...

quite nice

cheers :D

Kit to adjust e30 camber, got-ah?
Camber kit adjust for E30 i dont no.Nevermine,i can check first for you.

That only camber adjustment u can have for the E30 is the adjustable camber plates... If u see how the strut housing is constructed, u'll see that the knuckle is welded to the housing.. Meaning it's dead - non adjustable... Unless u resort to pumping it... ;)

For E36, it's different as the knuckle is bolted onto the absorber housing so it can still be adjusted if u know what to do... ;)

farid, aku suka negative camber. looks nice. aku suka tayar aku haus bhg dlm dulu. at least ada reason nak tukar tire. ini tak, pakai 4 tahun pun tayar tak botak2......

Betul cakap kau tu eddie. At list kalau nak terkangkang pun belakang takpe la.Kalau depan dah negatif byk ape citer. B)

negatif tu jgn lah byk sgt. tapi aku still tak kisah, at least ada reason nak tukar tayar nanti......

bimmer36,

if ur chamber kit is just some locally machined bolts ( with ecentric centers ), please forget it. If they break ( which is likely since they are just machine on the lathe....& does not consider stress point reduction or heat treatment..) you will be in a serious accident - since your front wheels will be dangling & you have no steering nor brakes.....

the way how these machined bolt works is incorrect and it relies on the bolt tension to hold the geometry. A bolt works as a shear member ie. the diameter of the hole and bolt is almost the same. The machined bolts have smaller bolt cross section and they are made to fit into a bigger hole hence they cannot act as shear member.

After you alined and bolt the bolts, a bump when driving will change the geometry again......cos it's not strong enough! ( from the bolt derived clamping force itself )

You have been forewarned. Pumping is also harmful....your bearings take a beating. ( since they jack between the abs housing and brake disc....)

To restore your steering geometry - change your knuckles or abs housing, whichever is bent. Otherwise K-MAC is the other way. ( K-MAC = brand of chamber adjustment kit )

-1.58 degree FRONT is actually "normal" in comparison to what some of us are running..... :) If your tyre wears inside, CORNER FASTER to compensate outside wear! HA! HA!( or rotate tyres more often..)
