:motz: :motz: :motz:On Friday noon, was stationary at a kepala simpang. When I look right, a slow moving 3-ton lorry wanted to turn in, immediately I was a motorbike attempted to squeeze through on the left side of the lorry. The lorry saw him and immediately stop. The biker might have rubbed the lorry's front bumper or tyre and lost control. The moment I saw the bike, he is already terbabas towards me and can barely control his bike. The next thing I realised, BAM!!!... he hit my right rear door.:20: :20: :20:If I wasn't there, he would end up in the monsoon drain and may suffer injury beyond imagination. It was before Friday prayers, luckily he had his helmet on. His helmet hit my door handle and dented it till I can't open the door. If not the helmet, it will be his blood on my door.:14: :14: :14:The truck should have turn a little more, then the bike would have landed under the truck.. not my problem then.. :19:Luckily I am not on my E90.. :eek:My damage :20:

The junction.. notice the Honda EX5 and the rider still "intact", thanks to me, or else, they are in the monsoon drain lio..

This the stationary truck.. about to turn in, but stop allowing the bike to squeeze thru.. :motz:

This the lorry in close up..

I think I just saved the rider.. unwillingly.. Ramming into my huge rear door is like ramming into a big kanvas.. rather than ending under the monsoon drain.. Now my insurance claim very lecer.. :(

lucky nobody injured except a shaken stupid motorcyclist, an angry astroboy, a sakit looking avanza (fuhhh, at least no the e90, i think if e90 AB already flatten the poor cyclist), and lorry driver that surely say lucky i din flatter him.

sue him kau kau,

haha... if like this i sure marah kau kau. what is your reaction to this? lucky the lorry + AB good ppl if not sudah lama the fella playing contortionist in the monsoon drain survivor style + david blaine.

what is the damage?

The bike suffer a twisted front fork, can still ride.. rim also not bengkok, not a scratch on his fender even.. I guess the Toyota crumple zone has work wonder to save others..

The rider actually suffered a swollen right knee. I suspect he knock the truck with his knee.. padan muka.

The bike was only 1 month old (BJT6308) and the rider's license in less than a year old.

Luckily the bike insurance is insured to the rider's, if 3rd party were to ride the bike, I cannot claim the bike's insurer.. this is new to me.. !!

The biker got a ticket for not being careful. The truck no need to make report.

Astroboy,

Sad to hear about your accident. Luckily not your e90, and of course, not hurt in anyway.

Safe to say that, every motorist life in KL sure encounter at least one weird accident with motorcycle. Sigh....

Cheers bro.:1:

I guess claim the rider kua... personal claim... becoming a civil case lor.. scary..

Such law also got... Malaysia Boleh!

The blardy Keputusan Kes and Gambarajah Kasar take 10 days to come out and with out that, I proceed with 3rd party claim. If I claim own insurance, I lose NCB.. susah.. :(

Now am hunting down the rider to get a copy of his summon to support my case because don't want to wait for 10 days... susah.. susah..

Way to go bro! Nicely done. No worries, you definitely earn some credits from the ONE above.

sorry to hear that astroboy... your insurance doesn't want to do the claim for you eh? you must do it yourself? My case, I only have 3rd party on my car, so that's why I have to claim direct.

My insurance can do but I must produce the evidence that its not my fault.. via the keputusan Kes (10 days only out) or photocopy the summon.. need to look for the rider lor. I will try my luck at the Polis Station to get the copy. Hopefully they don't ask for Kopi to get the Copy.. :(

or else, I lose NCD the moment I notify my claim to my own insurance.. :stupid:

Sorry for u bro,

You should drive yr bimmer ler, at least the biker will xtra careful if they see yr brand new E90. Update us on yr claim to the bike insurance. I heard wonder when accident wt motorbike.:burnout:

Update time:

Was with Toyota Sec19 and was told of the following possible process for 3 types of accident claim:

1. OD/KFK (Own Damage / Knock for knock)
This is you claim own insurance, then own insurance claim the other party who's at fault. The 3rd party even at fault and involve motorbike, you still lose your NCB!!! Stupid law that protect Mat Rempit..

2. OD
This one is confirm lose NCB because claim own insurance.

3. 3rd Party
This is you don't disturbe your own insurance. Setlle the bill first, then pass all the document directly to the other guilty party's insurer, then WAIT!!! Confirm does not affect own NCB..

ETIQA, my insurance say if accident involving motorbike, cannot claim KFK, u confirm lose NCB. But u can claim such loss to the guilt party's insurer. No indicative time frame. May drage for years.

P&O, the guity party's insurer say no such crap. He advice me if that the case, better for me to go with the 3rd option. Which is I pay money first, then claim direct to P&O. Faster reimbursement is 1 month. Slowest... is forever.. :(

Blardy stupid insurance law. I think what the government is trying to say is if you have a choice, don't let a bike hit you, chose someone of your own size or bigger to hit you. Then you NCB is saved!!! :stupid:

An ybody can share their experience?

poor thing man AB... hope things go smoothly after your pomelo leaf and flower bath...

Bro astroboy, just saw this..... hopefully everything is ok with you and it's lucky that it's not your nice E90...

Yeah!

I still have a case pending. The motorcyclist run away without reporting. Luckily I was driving company's provided car (and that is why I still have to report). No big damage, just a some paint scratch at the rear bumper and a whole day at the police station. Date 08/10/2006. Car now has been sold. Case not closed because the police could not get the motorcyclist to report.

Sorry to hear that bro. I hate to say this but, anything involved motorbike-tough luck. Bikers never buy insurance nowadays. Licence also don't have maa..Just don't hope too much.

At first read I thought it might be your beloved E90... luckily it's not and the most important is you are safe :top:
