Greetings all Gurus/Sifus and Beemer owners.

Im a newbie in this forum (thanx to Bad for referring) and waiting for my mean machine to be delivered to me in 3-4 weeks time.
This will be my first ever beemer in my life and was having hard time to convince myself to decide on buying one. I think its quite high time for me to get one. Though i received comments that im too old for that machine just to put my morale down. But i managed to sniff them away and told them" i may be 40 outside but feel 30 inside"

Coming back to the real dilemma. I managed to get through these hurdles except for no. 5 - 1. Buy Beemer, 2. F30, 3. Sport, 4. Coral red seat, 5. Body color - Black or White?

Appreciate your kind views and opinions on which color best suit the Coral Red seat, the road and my age. Some says black is easier to maintain, some say white is sporty n best suit red, some says white hardest to maintain, some say black is samseng jalanan, dunno which is good.

So there you go, dilemma yg menhantui diriku...Dont want to have the wrong choice for the right reason. Kiasu betul..

Anyway, thanx Bad for referring me to this thread and hope i can get some good advice later. Just do not wish to go into technical and mechanical issues until i get the mean machine.

Thanks to all and peace upon you.

Oh forget to share some hehehe...
My self in early 50+ just to my second months of sheer driving UDM...
I owned E39 525i Japan Spec...

I think white lagi org nampak.. Hitam nanti org tak nampak.. wahahahaha..
Mine is white with black interior.. it took me and my wife around 2 hours to decide whether black or silver or white
Some people say that white after some years it'll turn yellowish sikit.. that's why i do the body coating..
Hitam i think too hot for Malaysia weather.. anyway semua orang ada pilihan masing-masing..

WOW...both looks nice but white org nampak..betul memang nampak..yellowish..adoi..hope it dont happen within 3-4 years. But white mmg nice eh...

I think my agent will scream at me for changing too many times...

I was in the same black or white dilemma when it came to body and upholstery color selection.
I narrowed down to either black body/red interior or white body/black interior.
Eventually i went for the white body/black interior for several personal reasons:

1. Black is harder to upkeep than white. You can easily see swirl marks and dust deposits under the sunlight on a black surface thus requiring frequent wash and wax.
2. White gives an impression of looking bigger in size.
3. Black absorbs heat and White reflects heat. Somehow it feels hotter inside a black car compared to a white car when parked under the sun.

Just my humble opinion.
Anyway happy choosing, bro!

Thanks Honey for sharing that. Good intel and rationale. Making me harder to choose everyday. I admit , the urge to switch black to white is tremendous..and i know my time is running out soon..Will think about it. Need to go down to the basement carpark again to really compare the 2. the thing is , m always influenced by those movie caption when they gambling, and they will say after they won... " Always bet on Black " haha..
Chill guys...

You know how i convinced myself to finally settle for White? I told myself that there is always the option to respray! And i would rather have an easier time with White instead of Black...

Just to give you food for thought.

Invest in a good coating. Detalien, who is a club vendor does an excellent job. Nearly 2 months in and I have yet to see swirl marks. (Mind you my maid does the washing)
2. White gives an impression of looking bigger in size.
Agreed. But Black with our white DRLs are an excellent contrast .. Thats what I think anyways.
3. Black absorbs heat and White reflects heat. Somehow it feels hotter inside a black car compared to a white car when parked under the sun.
Get good tinting. The tinting on my car is excessive but it gets the job done. All done for free by SA @ Ingress. Getting in the car after a hot day at work is normally accomplish without scalding to the ass. My gf can attest to that :)
