Yalor...I got a few quotes that an extra key will cost anything fr rm350-500.Wah lau eh!! Any better options ah? It's all coz of EMV la, chip la aiyo!!

The quote you got is much better than what I got for my E46 in AutoBavaria in Penang. They somehow quoted me more than RM900plus.

Anyway, I did thought of other option due to the cost.

This might be intresting.
Viper Alarm have a bypass module for chiped based key. From what I understand from the installer, we need to installed the bypass module, stick the key with the chip into the bypass unit and they will hide the whole unit somewhere below the dashboard.

From here, if you want it simple, you can duplicate any key and use it. Take note that your immobilzer is no longer working as the ecu is reading the data from the chip at all time.

If you want to install other immobilser, GPS tracking, alarm, auto start your engine, auto wind your windows....you can proceed from this point.

The key u must get it from AB with yr reg card to prooof u the owner. The new key need to be reprogram with the new code. u can reprogram the key(both new and old) with a new code or change the code so the old one (spoilt or u dont want) cannot be used. AB can do this for u. New kwy cost about Rm900. Sory for repair button not sure lah...

Master key - about RM900
Service key - about RM400

Must bring copy IC and Registration Card. If you mentioned - "lost key" must bring copy police report. If you say "add on only" - no need police report.
