Just want to find out where can i duplicated my key?????any place to recommend????With reasonable price. BTW normaly how much it's will cost..???

What year is your car? I think if pre-1995 then anywhere can duplicate the key. If 1995, then the key has a chip inside in which case you must order the key from Germany through AB or M1. Expect to pay RM400+ (Euro is damn high!!!)

Ya loh, I went and duplicated my 1994 E34 key and it would not start. Paid RM30 for nothing. :angry: So even 1994 BMWs might have the security chip.

So I am also not sure if my BMW has the security chip in its key too... late 94 model. Is there anyway to tell from just looking at key?

yup can open door but cannot start car... unless you bypass it... which I do not recommend. because anybody can steal your car....

I don't mind to bypass it leh. But I was told it's not possible because the key is matched to OBC and something something..... Bla bla bla. So technical I cannot understand. Anybody car to explain the OBC something something?

To bypass the system is easy, no need to cut a single wire at all. Remove the chip from the key, use your finger nail.Then place the chip (very small) inside the steering column beside the ignition key entry. Make sure you use double sided tape on the chip. Now the chip is permanently there and the car will start with whatever key you used. Then go and install a good alarm system, if you are kiasu kekeke.Al

WOW! You're a genius!!!!! I was thinking of double sided taping my entire key to the steering column near that sensor thingy. Goes to show the same thinking along different lines can provide better solutions. You're a genius!But how to remove that chip thingy? With your nails?

Hi guys,haven't get the infor where can i duplicated teh key????i try few before n they charge me RM50!!!!!Very expensivelah!!!!!any place to recommend????

Not to worry. I have open a lot of key before to change the LED and the chip is quite easily to remove..
