Hi!Being relatively new to KL (only 1 year), we need to replace all 4 tyres on the car. Does anyone have any recommendations of reputable tyre places who can change tyres + align and balance and ensure that the Flat Tyre Pressure monitor is correctly accounted for? Don't have Run Flats just normal tyres. Currently have Yokohama S-Drive on.

Hi I get my supply from Speedline tyres in Kota Damansara. Try give the owner Ah Hong a call 012 4125796.

Try MPS Auto in Sunway. Quite a few members bring their cars there and I have had a good experience with them.

PS: Let me know if you need help or directions getting there.

yup, i am a regular at MPS Auto. but i had never purchased rubber from them, i go there for the excellent alignment and balancing hehe.

MPS Auto is excellent for balancing and alignment works..but when my RFT's crack, they dont have that many variety of tyres to choose from..

another good shop recommended by the diesel boys would be QuickSave USJ:

http://quicksave2u.easy.my/

good for torquey cars that tend to eat the rear tyres..they have 'value for money' 19" tyres such as GT Champiro, Nexen, Toyo etc...all depends on your budget and what tyre profiles you're looking at..good luck with your search!

some review on GT Champiro:

I second all the bros.
MPS is excellent. Their service is superb and their balancing/alignement usestop-notch technology. They will deifnitely not rush the job.

More importantly is their knowledge: they know their tyres inside out. They won't just sell you junk and take your money but advise you. Seriously, go to MPS, period. You'll be very satisfied. Just make sure you go first think in the morning if on Saturdays. It can get quite busy at times.

Cheers.

the onli thing is sunwap mps price is on the premium range lol
I have compared their pricing with other shops before and the pricing at MPS is competitve, some tire prices are even lower than some other shops I've checked.

Might be because I'm a regular there though...

Yes I second that as well, the tyre prices there are competitive. I did a couple of research and checked out prices from all of the tyre shops mentioned here, difference between the shops are around RM20-RM30. In the end, I would still choose MPS because when they bundle in the alignment and balancing, you would be very satisfied with their work.

You can try Sunny Car Care in Taman Sea if you're around the area. You will be able to search their location with 4square navigate function.
Good work but a little pricey, more for convenience sake.

We changed our Conti Run Flat to Michelin PS3 at Lim Tayar TTDI , neat work and quite reasonable price . You should give it a try , and it's not that far from KL Sentral . :top:
