Hey guys,New to the club though I've been reading and following the forums for years now.Always loved BMW's. When I was a kid in college, the first BMW I fell head over heels with was the E39 5-series. Remember it as clear as day - took a ride in a friend's father's 520i (pre-facelift). The comfort and performance, even from the back seat, was obvious. No car since then has impressed me as much. Not even brand-spanking new Japanese cars.Early this year, I was in the market for a new car. Initially looked at the usual Japs and Koreans - Camrys, Sonatas, Accords... but nothing made me drool. So I turned to pre-owned BMW's instead and decided to hunt down a used E39 to call my own.Several months and many disappointing E39's later, I found the ONE.2003 end-of-the-line 525i in Biarritz Blue, single owner, full service history with unmarked factory-standard alloys. PDC, DSC, electric sunblinds also came standard with this car.Cosmetically she needed some work - some minor dents on the front passenger door and on one of the jacking points, but it wasn't something that couldn't be fixed. The LCD on the instrument panel had missing pixels too - again, nothing that can't be fixed. The most important bit was that I got a BM specialist to check out the car and he confirmed that the car was sound. No error codes, no warning lights. Within an hour of viewing the car, I put a deposit down. It's been a month now and I'm loving the E39 more and more every day!

Congrats and welcome to the forum rpnut! Great to get yourself vested in a BMW. Just got mine too!

See ya beau at out next TT if possible! :)

Wow, very nice!

And welcome to the forums bro. Hope you'll have a wonderful time with your E39. :top:

Since car is already Biarritx blue, your name in blue looks matching LOL!!

You would not believe how hard it was to find an E39 in this colour. I've always liked the E39 in blue. Especially Biarritz.
But every E39 I viewed was either in silver or black! lol!

Yea i know what you mean....i love the oxford green also known as the british racing green...and never bother settling for any other colour on an E39 except for this one!. It's just how fussy you are about certain things. :D
