Hi Bros,Anybody had experience with battery drain by the car? My car if not disconnect the battery terminal it will not be able to start next day. Send in to several mechanic to find out which parts is faulty and keep draining my battery, but so far no one can find out the problem. All the standard procedure is been check but no luck so far. Kindly advice if anyone have any idea. Thank you. :dong:

Interesting, thanks bro. My question is that the cluster should be fuse right? We already pull all the fuse before but it still drain.

what is the current flowing when the car engine is OFF?

when all the fuse is removed, what is the current flowing?

Hi Jarance, They never check, they just use a test pen with bulb and pull out the negative terminal and connect the test pen on the negative terminal and the pen on the negative battery head and the bulb light up very brightly. They normally just dimly light according to them. The same method tested by several guys.

the correct way is to use an ammeter or clamp-on meter. by knowing the discharge current, you can calculate the
discharge rate. maybe you should find a electrical foreman to check this problem of yours.

evilnick method is good as he managed to eliminate the culprit by removing the fuse one by one.

All fuse removed still lots of current. Get an ammeter and get the current. Means now you need to start removing components since they may not be typically-fused (fused differently, not user accessible). Hmmm

Jarance you got any good electrical foreman to troubleshoot? i send to several already and they can't find the culprit. One of the BMW specialist said is most likely is one of the non fuse component. He is not so advance in the electrical side. Now i have to remove the terminal each time i leave the car overnight. otherwise tomorrow it will not start.

I can borrow u the Tong tester if u come across to my home town.

Thanks alex. Now i really need somebody who really can find the culprit as is really sickening to keep pulling out the batt terminal.

If u come across to Sban just pm, i can bring u to my friend workshop to check for u. He was doing car electric part only not mechanical part.

Hi Alex, thank you for you generous offer, will do if i drop by, i think seremban is very close by. Do you friend have any idea which part might be the culprit. I went several electric foreman and most do the same method of inspection and yet to solve it. I really hope somebody can really know how to troubleshoot and not the standard inspection again. Is been inspect by 4 people doing all the same procedure. Each time i see they do the same method i feel like telling them not working man.

Bro i can't promise u anything since the electric leakage someway on the car was quite complicating and it's need time for them to trace out what is the culprit. FYI i use to send my car over to him if any electrical problem on my car.

Normally, I do the troubleshooting myself with the aid of wiring diagram.

I sure that there are some good electrical foreman out there.

Sure bro it take time to retrieve the short circuit area, a lot area need to check b4 they find the culprit.

If you've not done any mod to your car prior to this, the most commonest source of power drain overnight is the FSR@hedgehog@blower regulator. If this is the case, when you lock the car , the blower will run on its own until the battery is flat without you knowing it.

FSR@hedgehog@blower what is this ? It is the blower for aircond ?
