Dear Sifu'swhat would be recommended mileage for sending our UDM;s for balancing and alignment? eg.every 5000km ? 10000km?

if you think u seldom hit potholes and your travelling is generally on "good" road, i guess 10k should be fine. I usually do it every 5k due to our "superb" road condition

Pls advse whr to do?

Your tyres tell the story - regularly inspecting your tyre condition will tell you if you have any tyre or suspension problems. How the tyre wears, in the inside or outside of the tread will indicate an alignment problem. Or if you have uneven wear, uneven roundness (feels like an unbalanced tyre when driving) can be related to an alignment or suspension problem.

Doing regular tyre pressure checks(when cold) is important. I normally inspect my tyres by looking at how it wears on the tread and also check if the sidewalls are damaged. Also dont forget to check your rims for any dents.

i did mine recently (off wheel balancing and alignment) but the steering is shaking at the speed between 80-90 km/h, below or above the speed range are okay.. the tyre shop said the front tyre already eat one side, but centre part is ok. They asked to change the front tyre but feel 'sayang' lar since the tyre still got 60~70% left.. i think 10,000km for balancing should be fine.

I had a similar 'unbalanced' problem on my 2 front tyres due to uneven wear (roundness). So the tyre shop did on wheel balancing. Although it did not eliminate the problem completely, it did reduce the problem.

I have about 50% tread left and it would be a waste to change tyres. As the problem is small, I just tolerate it for the time being and do balancing again soon. BTW the tyre shop said that the problem is due to my tyre quality and recommended me a high end tyre for replacement. This is not true - it was caused by an alignment problem(too much toe) and resulted in my tyres scrubbing.
